Sri Vijay Vidyalaya Educational Trust was founded in the year 1987 by ThiruD.N.C.Manivannan who is the Chairman. He is the Elder Son of Sri. D.N.Chinnasamy who is an Educationist and Philanthropist par excellence and also the founder of Sri Vijay Vidyalaya Educational Institutions in the Towns of Dharmapuri ,Hosur, Krishnagiri, Tiruppattur and Thiruvannamalai.
Sri Vijay Vidyalaya College of Arts & Science, established in 2020 in Bargur, Krishnagiri is affiliated to Periyar University, Salem. This is an institution of high distinction exclusively dedicated for the education of women. As a self-financing institution, it addresses issues of equity, equality and access by providing education to all sections of women students. The college has chiseled out women of substance, personality, mettle, caliber, confidence and reputation.The college has spacious library,Computer lab, Chemistry lab and Physics lab and well-equipped labs. Sports facilities in the college are very good and the students make the best use of them throughout the year.
A good number of teachers are also involved in consultancy and extension activities. They work in the areas of academic innovation, examination reforms, work on different committees, and acted as Resource Persons in various forum, and provided guest lectures in the area of soft skills, presentation skills, leadership, motivation and communication.At present the college offers 05 (UG) Courses
